OFFICIAL LAUNCH

EVENT

On Thursday, June 23rd, For Her: A Black Women Giving Movement for Black Girls was launched among 40 Black women and girls, and allies.

We heard from Jennifer Swain of youthSpark and Sheryl Merritt of Wellspring Living who educated us on Black girls who are victims and the support and services that are desperately needed to restore their mind, body, and spirit.

Dorsey Laquan Cook opened our eyes to the world of sexual exploitation and painting the picture of endurance and perseverance needed to make it out.

Tina Ulmer and her daughter illustrated that no one is sheltered from this issue.

For Her is a growing movement and giving circle committed to providing grant funding to support nonprofit organizations that are providing supports, opportunities, and services to Black girls who are survivors of and vulnerable to sex trafficking and exploitation.

It was indeed a powerful affirmation that our community will rise in support and protection of Black girls.  11 women answered the call to action and joined For Her. They pledged to give their time, talent and treasure ($365 annually).

We are still looking for 13 Black women to join us.  Contact me today to learn how to join.

If you are not ready to join, there are ways you can still take action.
